The information you provide us with via the registration form to receive personalized support, and then via your personal account, is stored in Science Accueil’s secure database.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, your personal data is used solely for the purposes of providing you with personalized support, processing your registration, managing your file, and for statistical and quality control purposes. Your data will never be transferred or sold to third parties by Science Accueil.

Personal data is kept for a period that does not exceed the time necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. During the retention period of your personal data, we undertake to implement the necessary measures to ensure its confidentiality and security.

Personal data is accessible to:

  • Science Accueil mobility agents
  • Science Accueil IT developers, who are bound by professional secrecy

Part of the data is accessible to your host institution:

  • For the sake of transparency and follow-up, our contacts within your institution (IR, HR, or management) may need to consult the following information (which they already know through their relationship with you): last name, first name, email address, academic level, nationality, and start date of your stay at the institution.
  • In order to improve the quality of your support, your institution may consult certain information relating to your requests: their type, date of creation, and date of last interaction with Science Accueil. The content of your exchanges with Science Accueil (messages in your personal space, emails, shared documents, verbal conversations) remains strictly confidential.

In accordance with the amended French law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, relating to information technology, files, and civil liberties, you have the right to access, oppose, rectify, transfer, and erase data concerning you, as well as the right to limit the processing of such data.
