Summer schools<\/h1>\n \n <\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Summer schools, usually organized in July, allow students from all over the world to discover the French science excellence. They are also a great opportunity to explore the territory and be introduced to the the French culture and environment.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1313″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text css=””]Science Accueil supports scientific establishments and embassies with the organization of these trainings, by offering them cultural knowledge and organizing logistical and administrative aspects of the students’ arrival.<\/p>\n

Interrupted in 2020 due to the pandemic, Science Accueil has hosted numerous summer schools for several consecutive years, allowing several hundred students from China, Brazil, India, and the United States to be welcomed upon their arrival at the airport, find their bearings, and discover French culture while enjoying their scientific stay.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Logistical and cultural guidance<\/h2>\n \n <\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Beyond the scientific program organized by the host school or university, these summer schools are meant to show France and spark interest in coming to study and work in here. Science Accueil has been in charge of the cultural guidance of more than 19 summer schools.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]\n

Welcome upon arrival<\/h5>\n \n <\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_column_text css=””]Knowing that arriving in a new country is not easy, and especially when French security is not seen as the best, Science Accueil can welcome students at the airport and guide them to their summer school.<\/p>\n

Every year before the pandemic, dozens of students were welcomed upon their arrival at the airport by Science Accueil facilitators and assisted to their reserved transportation to take them to their summer schools in Paris or the provinces. The waiting time, sometimes long between two flights, was managed on-site with good cheer by our guides. Cultural discovery<\/h5>\n \n <\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_column_text css=””]As part of these summer schools, Science Accueil organizes turnkey<\/strong> courses and excursions to allow students to discover the history, heritage, culture, and art of living in France.<\/p>\n
