    • With the ILEI (the language centre in the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines), Science Accueil offers you two types of training:

      - DISTANCE LANGUAGE LEARNING:
The Distance Language Learning combines self-training based on an online language software with a customized training program followed up by a Teaching Adviser. Anywhere, anytime, you can access your language training programme. Thanks to a variety of themes in both standard and business language, you will be able to communicate in many different contexts, whether at work or in an informal situation.
      ·          Before you leave, you will be able to start learning or improving French with the help of a tutor.
      ·          At your arrival in France, you will be able to use distant access to this programme if you can not move to the ILEI or do not have time for language training in the day-time.

IN ORDER TO START THE DISTANCE LEARNING TRAINING, YOU NEED A COMPUTER, A HIGH-SPEED INTERNET ACCESS AND A HEADPHONE PROVIDED BY THE CEREL.

The Distance Language Learning with tutoring includes a tutorial follow-up by e-mail and/or phone throughout the training programme

      - ILEI PASS :
The ILEI PASS is a training programme which takes place at the University of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in Guyancourt, near Versailles (RER C).

You can register at a convenient time for you in the ILEI schedule. With your PASS, you can use the multimedia language laboratory, attend conversation workshops and have unlimited access to educational resources (language books, foreign magazines, video room). The PASS is a 10-box card to be stamped as follows: 1 hour at the laboratory is 1 box; 1 hour of conversation workshop is 2 boxes.

The multimedia language laboratory is a computer-room equipped with language softwares. There you can practice oral and written comprehension, written expression, grammar, phonetics and do vocabulary exercises. Placement tests can also be taken. A Teaching Adviser is always present in the laboratory to help you and provide educational assistance when necessary.

A Teaching Assistant supervises the conversation workshops and suggests a topical issue for each workshop, which focuses on information exchanges and debate between participants.  Different levels are available (beginner+, intermediary, intermediary+ and advanced). You will integrate one of them after taking a placement test.
